each week we will try to spotlight one family in the ward.
to be fair, we decided to start with ourselves.
we're the asays.
we met in our freshman ward in helaman halls. we never dated but ashley thought derek was the cutest boy in the ward and ended up writing him his whole mission. when he came home, he finally came around after a few months and they got married a little over a year later.
derek is studying construction management. he loves tools and working on things with his hands, and has recently become known as "the ward handyman". if he could he would go four-wheeling everyday.
ashley is student teaching family and consumer science classes at a middle school. [home ec]. she loves crafting, laughing, and blogging. if she could she would sew something everyday.
our favorite foods are italian and mexican. you can typically find us in the outdoors or laughing at ourselves in our apartment. ...and if you think we look like siblings, you aren't the first to notice.
